Basil Brush and Kerry Katona panto in Chesterfield is postponed
The Wizard of Oz was due to be staged at the Pomegranate Theatre on Saturday, April 10, but has been postponed until 2022, with the new date yet to be announced.
Kerry was cast as the Wicked Witch and Basil as the Wizard in the all-singing, all-dancing show.

Hide AdA statement on Twitter from Anton Benson Productions says: “We had hoped that we would still be able to bring live shows to some of our venues this Easter, but following on from the Prime Minister’s announcement I can now confirm that we have agreed with ALL venues on this year’s Wizard of Oz tour that we will reschedule for Spring 2022.”
“For those who have purchased tickets, your theatre/box office should contact you directly to advise on their policy regarding refunds or ticket transfers to the rescheduled dates once they are confirmed. If you do not hear in the next few weeks you should contact your theatre / point of purchase directly.”
The Wizard of Oz was originally due to be staged in Chesterfield during April last year but lockdown prevented it from going ahead.
But families can still watch a fun-filled show over the 2021 Easter holidays – in the comfort of their own homes. Anton Benson Productions are putting on an online panto, with Basil Brush starring in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. To find out more, go to to www. antonbensonproductions.com
