Films to keep children happy this Easter
As part of the Festival of World Cinema in Buxton there is a programme of six morning screenings aimed at family audiences.
Animations and dramas from around the world promise laughs, some tears and excitement.

Hide AdKicking off is the British animation The Big Knights (from the makers of Peppa Pig) on Good Friday. Two hopeless knights – accompanied by a pet dog and hamster – try to put wrongs right. This screening will be followed by a free workshop (12.30pm to 1.30pm) where you’ll be able to re-enact your favourite Big Knights characters and tales.
On Saturday there is a fascinating story about a family of Mongolian nomads entitled The Cave of the Yellow Dogs Three young children find the strangest things to play with and the small dog they adopt steals every scene.
On Easter Sunday the glorious French animation Azur & Asmar tells of two children who grow up together only to be separated. Will they be reunited? t.
For bank holiday Monday there is the Pixar triumph Inside Out. Riley moves from the rural mid-west to the very different world of San Francisco. How will she cope?

Hide AdOn March 29 the Spanish adventure film Zip & Zap and the Marble Gang follows the exploits of young teenagers who discover a secret.
Finally, on April 1 is the Irish animation Song of the Sea about two lost children trying to find their way home.
