Alfreton teen sentenced after stabbing man in back
The 17-year-old, from Alfreton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given 32 months after pleading guilty to wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Police were called to Alma Street on October 30 last year following reports that underage drinkers were at a party at a house in the street.

Hide AdAfter dispersing the drinkers, a PCSO remained in the area to make sure there was no more trouble.
She became aware that a fight had broken out between a large group of people further down Alma Street and went to intervene.
The PCSO found an 18-year-old man with a stab wound to his back and began administering first aid while calling for back-up.
More officers arrived and the 17-year-old was arrested nearby on suspicion of stabbing the victim.
The youth was sentenced at Derby Crown Court on Tuesday, July 26.
