A major A-road through Derbyshire is currently shut in both directions after a crash this afternoon.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix has reported that the A6 is closed at Ambergate following a collision involving a lorry and a motorcycle.

Congestion is building in the area, with slow traffic from the A610 Ripley Road to B5035 Main Road at Whatstandwell.

There is currently no indication as to when the route will be reopened.
