A busy Derbyshire road has been closed due to a ‘police incident’ this morning.

The A619 at Wadshelf, which is between Chesterfield and Baslow, was closed just before 8.30am, according to traffic officers.

The Derbyshire Police Contact Centre said: “Please note the A619 at Wadshelf is currently closed due to a police incident so please avoid travelling that way if you can, diversions have been put in place.”
