Chesterfield boy, 12, hit by car in collision that forced police to close busy route

Derbyshire Police have confirmed that a 12-year-old boy was involved in a collision with a car on Whittington Hill, at the junction with Holland Road, at 3.30pm yesterday.

A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: “The road was closed due to the incident and reopened at 4.30pm.

“The boy was left in the care of the ambulance service. Further information in relation to his injuries is unknown.”
