Driver on cocaine and cannabis leads police on high speed pursuit

A driver on cocaine and cannabis led police on a high speed pursuit from Derbyshire to Nottinghamshire last night.

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted that a VW Golf failed to stop and led them on a pursuit on the A610 Codnor to Bulwell.

The occupants left the vehicle but were tracked with help from the police helicopter, armed response unit and police dogs.

The driver had just finished a disqualification, police added.
