A drug driver has been arrested and a stolen vehicle recovered after police stopped his car in Codnor.

On Monday, officers from Derbyshire Road Policing Unit have reported that they stopped a Nissan X-Trail in Codnor because of the way it was being driven. The driver failed a roadside drug test for cocaine and was taken into custody.

Drugs were found in his possession while in custody as well.

Police said the vehicle has been reported stolen by the registered keeper and was later returned.
