A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: “The driver and a passenger were taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution, but sustained minor injuries only.”
Officers from High Peak response deemed the incident an ‘expensive trip’ and added it was just one of a number of crashes there over the weekend.
The A628 Woodhead Pass is one of the busiest roads out of Sheffield, linking the city to Manchester though the Peak District.
The road has become notorious for congestion, closures and crashes. Between 2014 and 2018, 169 people were injured in 88 separate collisions on the road.
