Today is the day that year six pupils and their parents across the country are set to find out which secondary school has offered them a place for September 2023.

Last year, 94.4% of applicants for a secondary school place across the country received an offer from one of their top three choices, while 83.3% were offered their first-choice secondary school.

All schools are visited by Ofsted inspectors to ensure that they are performing well and preparing pupils for further education and life in a community. Each school is given a rating – outstanding, good, requires improvement, or inadequate.
