Ilkeston charity Ben’s Den brings back May challenges to provide holidays for children with cancer
Tracey Parker, a staff member at Kirk Hallam Community Academy, has brought back Ben’s Den May Challenges.
Ben’s Den was set up in memory of her son Ben Parker passed away in 2003 after a three-year battle with leukaemia.

Hide AdIt provides free caravan holidays for families with children fighting leukaemia or cancer.
Last May, to celebrate Ben’s 30th, they raised £11,000 by challenging people to do 30 things a day for 30 days.
Tracey said: “After popular demand, we’re running The May Challenges again, but for 31 days as he’ll be 31 years old.
“The money we hope to raise this year will fund a holiday home that can be used all-year round for families to make memories together."
