Derbyshire forced to follow on by Glamorgan
Despite some stubborn resistance after lunch from Shiv Thakor, who made 41 from 87 balls, and a spirited late onslaught from Tom Taylor, Derbyshire were dismissed nine runs short of the follow-on target of 261.
Ruaidhri Smith took three for 23 in 11 overs, and Graham Wagg claimed two wickets against his former county. Michael Hogan also bagged a couple of wickets, although Taylor pulled and drove him for three sixes before he was last out, bowled by the Australian fast bowler for 30, on the stroke of tea.
It leaves Derbyshire needing to score 158 to avoid an innings defeat, with 46 overs left in the day. Glamorgan are looking to record fifth consecutive Championship victory.
